Moto G7 Spec Rumours, Price, and Release Date
Motorola revealed their G6 Play, G6 Plus, and Moto G6 in May 2018. However, seeing as the company already managed to pass through the FCC, the brand-new Moto G7 line might be here much earlier than expected which means we might see it as early as March 2019. We will once again be able to look forward to Play, Plus, and Standard models in the G7 line with improved cameras, increased memory, higher-capacity batteries, and larger screens.
Moto G7 Release Date
Even though the Moto G5 was initially announced in March 2017, we didn’t see the Moto G6 series up until May 2018. While the phones managed to pass the FCC, we believe that Motorola might make a return to its earlier strategy when it comes to their release date which means we might get a glimpse of the phone at MWC in February and see it go on sale as early as March 2019.
Moto G7 Price Tag
Although nothing has been confirmed officially as of yet, with no significant changes we anticipate that the price tag will be in line with the current generation. Motorola’s G6 series was introduced to the public at £269 for the Moto G6 Plus, £219 for the standard G6 model, and £169 for the Moto G6 Play.
Moto G7 Specifications and Features
Thanks to leaked specs, the Moto G7 revealed that it would come equipped with a 6-inch Full HD display, which is up from the previous 5.7-inches, 4GB of RAM, an octa-core processor, 64GB of storage, a 16MP and a 5MP primary camera along with a 12MP selfie camera, a 3,500mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor. It will also operate on Android 9.0 Pie straight out of the box. Leaked specs also indicate that the Moto G7 will boast with a waterdrop screen notch, rear fingerprint sensor, and a dual-lens camera.
The Moto G7 Play, which is the cheapest model in the line-up, is expected to come equipped with a single-lens rear camera, a larger screen, and a plastic design. The battery will also be lower in capacity, coming in at 2,820mAh, which is rather disappointing as the current model comes equipped with a 4,000mAh battery cell, while the processor will also be limited to a Snapdragon 632.
The Moto G7 Plus will obviously be the most powerful and largest of the series, potentially with a 19.5:9 display on a 6.4 inch screen along with a Snapdragon 710. You can expect 128GB of storage along with 6GB of RAM out of the box. You will also be pleased to know that wireless charging will be made possible on both the Plus and standard models.
The Moto G7 Plus will also come equipped with a similar design as the Moto G6 Plus with a brand-new waterdrop screen notch along with slimmer bezels for maximum screen real estate. You can also expect this on the standard G7 model. Now we simply need to wait for the phone to hit the shelf in March 2019.
